DSGW lives by our tag line “enriching communities through architecture.” Not only do we strive to design buildings and spaces that benefit the areas around them, but we look for unique philanthropic opportunities to lend our design expertise. One of those opportunities we look forward to each year is a design project benefiting the Miller Dwan Foundation.
Since 2010, our principal, Rebecca Lewis and an intern design professional have been donating their services to design a themed ‘mini-cottage’ that is auctioned off at ARTcetera annually. We team up with other area professionals to see it through construction. The ‘mini-cottages’ are approximately 100 to 120 square feet with themes ranging from a book lovers haven to a back yard watering hole. Each designer brings their own flare and style, keeping it new and exciting year after year.
This year’s theme is the Greenhouse Getaway. It’s designed to have an area to work on your latest gardening project as well as a place to take off your gloves and relax with a good cup of coffee. This year we teamed up with Kitchee Gammi Design Company, Knutson Custom Construction and Johnson Wilson Constructors to bring the design to life.
DSGW is proud to have helped raise over $125,000 for the Miller Dwan Foundation and look forward to continuing to support their efforts in years to come.
