The New Millennium Academy board, administration and community worked with DSGW to develop plans for a new K-8 charter school. The school opened in 2005 serving 550 Hmong students.
With the projected growth to educate between 700-750 students, the new facility is 82,000 sf. The three-story school include classrooms on all three floors, a music hall, cafeteria/kitchen, gymnasium, administration offices and separate drop-off/pick-up sites for buses and parents. The nearly five-acre site had many changes including road improvements to make access to the school on the north side safer and easier.
