Anishinabe III is the result of a collaborative vision of Project for Pride in Living and the American Indian Community Development Corporation, providing housing for Indigenous peoples that are homeless and struggle with substance abuse. The 4-story structure located on East Franklin Street in Minneapolis, is the third on the property and is one of the only buildings on the “American Indian Cultural Corridor” that shows a strong culturally influenced design. The facility includes 40 single-occupant resident rooms, gathering spaces, secured lobby, warming kitchen, offices for the receptionist and case manager, and additional multi-purpose rooms and showers in the basement with space to be used for homeless members in the community to come in out of the cold.
