Diamond Willow was started with its founder’s grandmother in mind. Each location is designed to have a small, homey feel versus a large nursing home.
DSGW designed each with that notion in mind, using its healthcare design background to make sure it was a safe and efficient model for staff and residents. The building includes two “small houses” designed as a home-like environment. Each can accommodate a total of 20 residents adjoined by a large community sunroom. All residents have a private suite, including a private bath. However, much of their time is spent in the spacious sun room, kitchen area and living room. The two “small houses” approach comforts and empowers the residents.
