Bureau of Indian Affairs

DSGW Architects worked with the Ohkay Owhingeh Tribe to develop a master plan for a new town that calls for a mixed-use development consisting of retail, office, entertainment, lodging and services.

One of the first facilities to be built within the town was for the Bureau of Indian Affairs – Northern Pueblos Agency. The Northern Pueblos Agency provides services to six Federally-recognized Tribes located in New Mexico. The new 21,000 sf LEED Silver Certified government building consists of forestry, natural resources, fire, housing, law enforcement and education departments. The architectural design of the building reflects the natural surroundings and culture of the Tribes.
